Dancing at Past Festivals

In 2019, instructors Barbara Leininger and Matt Brand of Bloomington Arthur Murray Dance Studio danced at the festival. To prepare the public, the Studio offered swing dance lessons at a reduced rate for those preparing for Bloomington Boogies! In 2019 we also welcomed student dancers from MotionArts Dance Companies: MAD Co. and mini-MAD, the new junior company at MotionArts Dance Companies, where quality dance education meets creativity and passion!

In 2018 professional dancers included Barbara Leininger, Matt Brand, Elise Anderson, Gabriel Mo, and students from MotionArts Dance Academy (at left).

In 2017, Ms. Leininger and Mr. Brand were joined by Fiona Schlegal and by students from MotionArts Dance Academy. Arthur Murray Dance Studio taught swing dance lessons and offered a Bloomington Boogies discount both years.

In 2016, Jamis Wadsworth-Carr and Kimberly Carmichael danced at the 2nd festival.
